Sr. Communications Field Technician - Fort Nelson

Petron Communications Ltd has a requirement for a full time Communications Technician to be based out of our Fort Nelson, BC office.  

We are a leading oilfield and industrial telecommunications company with multiple branches located in beautiful Northeastern British Columbia. Petron offers services and systems for Oilfield SCADA, Oil and Gas Call Out, Satellite, Cellular, Fiber Optics, Microwave, Voice and Data Stand-Alone and Multi-Site Systems.  We are authorized dealers for Motorola, Kenwood, TELUS, GE MDS and others. Experience with these products is an asset.

The ability to work outdoors in a northern climate and travel to remote destinations is required and a driver license with a clean record is a must. Job duties outdoors can include tower and antenna rigging; accredited training or relative field experience would be required.

This is not an entry level position.  Based out of our Fort Nelson office, the successful applicant will be instrumental in the development of our Field Services at this location.  Increased activity in Northeastern British Columbia at the Horn River Basin, Montney Play, and various shale gas deposits our increasing company presence in this area is paramount.  This position calls for the technician to not only complete necessary work; but promote Petron, develop new clients & markets, and service our existing large client base in the Fort Nelson area.  Our continued success will be a direct result of the added efforts you provide and meet our goal of providing faster and better service.
